Terms of Service
Last updated September 11, 2026
1. These terms
These terms apply when you book or receive detailing services from Do It Detail. Booking an appointment means you accept them. If you do not, please do not book — call us and we will sort it out directly.
2. What we do
We provide mobile auto detailing: we travel to your vehicle and perform the services you selected. Services, tiers, and prices are described on this site. Some combinations are quoted by hand because they need to be seen before a price can be committed to.
3. Booking and confirmation
- Submitting the booking form creates a request, not a confirmed appointment. The time slot is held briefly while we review it.
- An appointment is confirmed only when we tell you it is, by text or by phone. We may decline a request — most often because of access, location, or the condition of the vehicle.
- Prices shown are for the service and vehicle size selected. If the vehicle differs materially from what was booked, we will tell you before starting and agree a revised price or reschedule.
4. What we need from you
- Access to the vehicle at the agreed time and address.
- Somewhere legal and reasonably safe to work, with room to open the doors fully.
- Removal of personal belongings from the vehicle beforehand. We are not responsible for items left inside.
- Accurate information about the vehicle and its condition.
Where a water or power supply is required for the service booked, we will tell you in advance whether we are bringing our own.
5. Cancellation and rescheduling
Let us know as early as you can. If we arrive and cannot carry out the work — no access to the vehicle, nobody there, or conditions that make the work unsafe — we may treat it as a cancellation. We will always try to reschedule first.
We may cancel or reschedule for weather that would compromise the result or the safety of the work. You are not charged when we do.
6. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in advance. Prices are in US dollars.
7. Results and limits
Detailing improves the condition of a vehicle; it does not make it new. Some defects — etching, deep scratches, oxidation, wear, odours bonded into materials, pre-existing damage — cannot be fully removed, and some become more visible once surrounding dirt is gone. Where we think a result is not achievable, we will say so before starting rather than after.
We are not liable for pre-existing damage, for defects revealed rather than caused by cleaning, or for aftermarket parts, trim, or repairs that fail under normal detailing. Tell us about anything of that kind before we start.
8. Text messages
If you agree to text messages when booking, we will text you about that appointment — that we received the request, and whether it is confirmed or declined. These are transactional messages about your booking, not marketing.
- Roughly one to three messages per appointment.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving them. Reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How we handle the consent record itself is set out in our Privacy Policy.
9. Liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our liability for any single appointment is limited to the amount paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, and the courts of Ohio have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones published when you booked.
